Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you (the customer, and the business you register) and Daftar Books (“we”, “us”), the provider of Daftar Books, an online accounting service. By creating an account or using Daftar Books you accept these terms.

1. The service

Daftar Books lets you record invoices, bills, payments, bank transactions, inventory, payroll and journals, and produces accounting reports from them. We may improve, change or add features over time. We will not remove a core feature you rely on without reasonable notice.

2. Your account

• You must give accurate details and keep your password confidential. Turn on two-factor login for extra protection.
• You are responsible for everything done under your account and for the users you invite and the roles you give them.
• You must be authorised to act for the business you register.

3. Free trial, plans and payment

• New companies get a free trial. When it ends, the company becomes read-only until a paid plan is activated. Your data is kept.
• Plans are billed per company, monthly or yearly, at the prices shown on our website when you subscribe. Prices may change for future periods with at least 30 days’ notice.
• Payment is made in advance by bank transfer or another method we list. A plan is activated once we have verified that the payment has arrived. Payments may later be processed by a third-party payment provider acting as reseller, in which case its terms also apply to the payment.
• If a paid period ends without renewal, you get a short grace period, after which the company becomes read-only until you renew.
• Prices exclude any taxes that apply to you unless stated otherwise.

4. Your data

You own the data you enter. You give us permission to store and process it only to provide and support the service. You can export reports at any time. See our Privacy Policy for details. After your account is closed we keep your data for 90 days so it can be restored on request, then delete it, except where the law requires us to keep it longer.

5. Acceptable use

• Do not use Daftar Books for anything unlawful, including fraud, money laundering or tax evasion.
• Do not try to access other customers’ data, probe or disrupt the service, or resell it without our written permission.
• Do not upload malware or content you do not have the right to use.

We may suspend accounts that break these rules, after notice where reasonably possible.

6. Accounting and tax responsibility

Daftar Books is a tool. It does not replace a qualified accountant or tax adviser. You are responsible for the accuracy of what you enter, and for your tax returns, filings and compliance with the laws that apply to your business.

7. Availability and support

We aim to keep Daftar Books available at all times and take daily backups, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Planned maintenance will be done outside business hours where possible. Support is provided by email and WhatsApp on working days.

8. Liability

To the extent the law allows, the service is provided “as is”, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses such as lost profits or lost data caused by your own actions. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

9. Cancellation

You can stop using Daftar Books at any time; you keep access until the end of the period you have paid for. Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy. We may end this agreement with 30 days’ notice, and we will give you the chance to export your data.

10. Changes and law

We may update these terms. If a change is significant we will notify account owners in the app at least 14 days before it applies. These terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan, and the courts of Pakistan have jurisdiction.
